I wanted to create mood for a shot video piece that was dramatic, ambient and atmospheric. I jumped on my midi-controller keyboard and generated this sound on my computer using software synths and mixed it and processed it in audacity. Useful for background music for video, or for meditation.

The sound of an untuned radio receiving static hiss/crackle whilst the tuner is moved. I generated this using reason's nn19 synthesiser for a tune i was building. I submitted this file to answer a request from wkndsuper. To save file space, i converted this to 22050/16/mono but i could supply in higher quality if requested.

Lots of electrical noise. I got this sound using an aux cable from my laptop to a broken 3. 5mm to 5. 25mm adapter to my mixer. Noises were generated by my fingers scrubbing around the laptop's trackpad and clicking keys on the keyboard. Also my air conditioner is generating a constant noise. Every few minutes there is a neat glitchy sound, i'm guessing it's from some data being processed on the laptop. .

This underwater breathing was created in audacity. To create this sound i generated 2 tracks rhythms on 2 different mono tracks. For the breathing i created a rhythm "click noise" and added the effect "paulstrech". I deleted some moments of silences. I tried to simulate a heartbeat. I generated a rhythm tracks "noise click" and added the effect "echo". I selected in the track a sound wich looks like to a beat, cut the remain and add the repeated effect on the selected moment. I generated this sound for a scene of a short video in which a zombie attacks my friend. It's a loud burst of roars and snarls, altered using audacity. I recorded myself doing my best zombie voice, then i lowered the pitch, boosted the bass, and added a phaser to make it more wet and added some feedback. I hope you find it useful!.

This is a smoothly rising shepard tone that i created using adobe audition 3's tone generator. I generated the tone as sine waves in 7 different octaves and mixed the results together. The period of repetition is 10 seconds. (this is a second version in which i removed the phase variance, making the sound monophonic for all practical purposes).

For this sound, i generated a square wave at a frequency of 440 hz and an amplitude of 0. 80 and a duration of 1 second. I choosed the following effects:1- wahwah with frequency f=1. 5hz , amplitude= 70 %, resonance = 2. 5 and offset frequency = 30%2. Repeat3- compressor (x2)4- fade in (half of the sound)5- fade out ( the other half of the sound)6 - phaser with 10 phases7 - paulstretch with the stretching factor=5 and resolution = 0. 258- echo with 1 second delay , decay factor=0. 59 - cut (to arrange the sound). After all this effects, the sound is like a sound recorded in space with echos.

This sound is a mix of analog sound and digitally created sound. I recorded the sound of a coffee machine. Then on audacity, i generated a tone and modified its envelope. I changed the levels, added effects as reverberation and echo. I put melted at opening and closing in purpose to pretend something was taking off and landing. At first i wanted to create the atmosphere of a spaceship. But after that it looked more like a vacuum noise. I tried to modify amplification and added again echo and reverberation to make it sound more like a weird ufo. Here, i tried to represent the rain with a thunderstorm in the background, a sound that can be used in a thriller, drama or other movies. To the sound of the rain i generated "white noise", amplitude to 1. Then, i changed the acute and bass across the track to show some instability of the rain. To highlight the suddenness of the rain, i put a fade in during the first 5 seconds with a reverberation from 6 to 50s to make a natural sound. Finally, i added a track recorded of a storm with -9db for the storm and + 11db for the rain.

The sound was generated in matlab using binary click trains at the fundamental frequency of 330 hz and 100 ms duration, which were bandpass filtered with a bandwidth equal to 1/50th of the formant frequency using malcolm slaney's auditory toolbox. Formant center frequency was 6. 912 khz. The formant frequency was chosen to lie within rat and human sensitivity range.

It's an all synthetized sound created on audacity. I wanted to recreat the sound of an ovni, but not one that makes people scared : like there is only one alien in this ovni but it seems pretty nice. I started by created a new audiotrack, then i generated chirps and keeping the default values. Then i duplicated the track and made a stereo track of both. I add wahwah effect on the track, changing and modulate the different default values (for example, highest dept and a lot of resonance). After, i add phaser affect on the whole track to make the sound a little bit more spacial. Then i normalized the track. Last, i raised the speed twice by 2. A computer-generated voice build specifically for a video game called artemis spaceship bridge simulator. I wrote the text, put it through a royalty-free text to voice generator. Then i edited it in pro tools with several fx to achieve the proper mood. I specifically use it with artemis bridge tools, which lets this track be triggered by game events. I am not affiliated with this video game in any way. Just a passionate sound designer with a gaming habit. For this track, the computer says "docking complete. ".

This sound was created as follows:. -zynaddsubfx free (and insanely amazing) software synthesizer generated simple g tone using a sine-wave adsynth engine- creative sbs 250 speakers played it back distorting the sound naturally and adding some interesting stereo phasing effects (is that caused by analog signal cable being longer for one speaker?)- i was manually changing the volume using the speaker's potentiometer (whitch is dirty and added some interesting noises on the right speaker, and also at peak loudness during the 54th second the right speaker is quiet)- the output was captured by zoom h2's rear mics- and recorded via usb into audacity free audio editing program- i exported the recording as 16-bit flac.

This sound is a 1-sample long impulse at 48 khz. It covers the whole frequency range with equal power. This is a perfect sample for exciting your guitar amp or reverb unit to capture it's impulse response (ir). You can also play it through a speaker in a reverbant room to capture it's reverb characteristics. Remember that the ir sample will be no flatter than your speaker's performance multiplied by your microphone's performance (frequency response characteristics). The sample has exaclty 1 second of silence, then the impulse, then another second of silence to ensure the impulse will be played clean and untruncated on any sound system or device. My test with ir lv2 convolution plugin have proven, that this sample has absolutely flat frequency response - convolved signal was identical to the source signal. After normalization and sample-alignment of the sound clips i have inverted the polarisatin of one of them and summed them - result was absolute silence, even no hiss was present as a result. This shows the accuracy of the convolution process and proves this sound to be perfect for sampling ir. The impusle was generated with c* dirac ladspa plugin. Created using audacity.

Over 100 separate streams of noise was generated to create this. (v1 used 21 streams in 44khz/24-bit in a v0 mp3)the entire project was created, mixed, and mastered in 96khz/32-bit float. This file is limited to 1 hour because the use of a larger bit-rate and the amount of noise used.
